HMVA ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Von Waters is a Grammy Award winning artist/songwriter who hails from Virginia, but is now based in Los Angeles,CA. Von is known for his clever concepts, lyrics, and memorable melodies. Waters is signed to Grammy Winning songwriter Nija Charles through her Anomaly Publishing venture, and recently won his first Grammy Award for his writing efforts on Chris Brown’s 11:11 album with his standout record “My Slime.” Von also worked on the hit record “Mamushi” Remix by Megan Thee Stallion featuring the Korean superstar group TWICE. Von also was a key contributor to Kiana Lede’s most recent album “Cut Ties,” of which Von co-wrote five out of total eleven songs, in addition to the title track “Cut Ties.”

Von has since been working with the likes of artists such as CoCo Jones, Teyana Taylor, G Herbo, DoeBoy, Anitta, Shenseea, Summer Walker, Normani, Kiana Lede, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Tamar Braxton, Kcamp, YK Osiris and more, including some of the biggest record producers in the world. 

In addition to his songwriting pursuits, Von is also working on releasing his own solo project release in the near future.
